'A New Era' - EMPERIUM ON THE RISE

"WE KEEP MOVING FORWARD, OPENING NEW DOORS, AND DOING NEW THINGS, BECAUSE WE'RE CURIOUS AND CURIOSITY KEEPS LEADING US DOWN NEW PATHS.' - WALT DISNEY

Founded in 2020, EMPERIUM Studios has always been driven by a passion for storytelling that resonates deeply with our audience. Our journey began in Ohio, where we focused on creating urban films that featured cultivating stories and strong women leads. These projects laid the foundation for our reputation as a studio committed to powerful narratives and meaningful representation.

As we continue to grow, we’re excited to announce that EMPERIUM Studios is embarking on a new chapter in Los Angeles. This move isn’t just a change of scenery—it’s a strategic pivot that aligns with our vision of creating content that resonates on a global scale. We’re expanding our horizons to include children and family entertainment, tapping into new markets while staying true to our core values.

In this blog, we’ll take you through our journey from Ohio to LA, share our vision for the future, and reveal some exciting news that we’ve been eagerly waiting to announce. Join us as we step into this next phase, embracing innovation and continuing our mission to be leaders in the entertainment industry.

THE JOURNEY SO FAR

Leaving Ohio is bittersweet for us at EMPERIUM Studios. Ohio’s authenticity, its raw and untouched landscapes, and the rich history embedded in its environment have been a vital part of our creative journey. There’s a unique beauty in Ohio that remains largely untapped—a beauty that we’ve been fortunate enough to showcase in our work. From the rolling hills to the urban landscapes, Ohio has offered a canvas that we’ve proudly painted with our stories.

We’re especially proud of the way we’ve been able to amplify voices and create opportunities within the local film community. The challenges of the pandemic and the Hollywood strike made work scarce, yet on an independent scale, we continued to provide jobs and opportunities. It’s been an honor to work alongside the local crew, who brought passion and dedication to every project. Their commitment and resilience have been nothing short of inspiring.

Ohio’s affordability and the incredible support from local business owners made our journey here even more special. The openness of these communities, their belief in the film industry, and their willingness to allow us to use their spaces were instrumental in bringing our projects to life. Leaving that behind wasn’t an easy decision.

However, as we continued to grow, we reached a point where we felt like we had reached our cap in Ohio. The resources we needed to scale our impact and amplify our mission were becoming scarce. To continue evolving and to bring our vision to a global audience, we realized that moving closer to the hub of entertainment—Los Angeles—was essential. This move, while challenging, was necessary to take EMPERIUM Studios to the next level and to continue creating the innovative, pioneering content that our audience loves.

EMBRACING NEW MARKETS

The decision to pivot into children and family entertainment was a natural evolution for EMPERIUM Studios. Our CEO, who is also a proud father of three, has always believed in the power of storytelling that resonates with all ages. His children have been an integral part of our journey, playing small roles in various projects, and his son, in particular, has been at the forefront—leading our web series, appearing in nearly all of our films, and now taking the next step in his career by signing with an agency in Los Angeles.

This close, personal connection to the world of children’s entertainment inspired us to align our work with our family values. We wanted to create content that not only our CEO’s children would love but that children and families everywhere could enjoy together. This led to the birth of our new venture: Camp Campbell Entertainment.

Camp Campbell Entertainment is a sister company to EMPERIUM Studios, created with a singular focus on children and family content. We’re excited to dive into the world of animation, where we can let our creativity run wild, while also producing live-action content that captures the magic and wonder of childhood. By establishing this separate entity, we’re ensuring that both brands EMPERIUM Studios and Camp Campbell Entertainment can thrive, each with its unique identity but united by shared values.

The synergy between EMPERIUM Studios and Camp Campbell Entertainment allows us to harness the strengths of both companies. When it comes to feature films or live-action projects, we’ll be able to collaborate closely, sharing resources and expertise to create something truly special. This partnership reflects our broader mission: to amplify voices, promote inclusivity, and ensure that diverse stories are told.

At the heart of both EMPERIUM Studios and Camp Campbell Entertainment is a commitment to innovation, diversity, and empowerment. Whether we’re telling a powerful, independent story through EMPERIUM or bringing an animated adventure to life with Camp Campbell, our goal remains the same: to create content that inspires, entertains, and leaves a lasting impact.

EXCITING NEW PROJECTS

As we expand into the world of children and family entertainment, we’re thrilled to share that our beloved web series, A Kid Named Bug, is getting its own animated spinoff. While we can’t reveal too much just yet, we can tell you that we’re diving into the cartoon version of Bug’s world, and it’s shaping up to be an exciting journey. But that’s not all—we’re also developing a preschool-focused spinoff from the same series, bringing the charm and lessons of A Kid Named Bug to an even younger audience. Scripts are already in the works, and we’re actively shopping these shows to potential partners.

While we prepare to bring these new projects to life, we’re also launching a dedicated YouTube channel called Campfire TV. This channel will be the go-to destination for our children’s content, serving as a platform for shorts, trailers, and full episodes. We’re re-releasing A Kid Named Bug on Campfire TV, giving new audiences a chance to fall in love with the series. Our goal is for Campfire TV to become a prominent channel for children’s entertainment on YouTube, and we’re working towards landing a partnership with YouTube to further expand our reach.

In the meantime, our focus is on developing engaging, short-format content specifically for Campfire TV. We’re committed to creating content that is both entertaining and enriching for children, ensuring that Campfire TV becomes a trusted and beloved destination for families.

LOOKING AHEAD

We know that Los Angeles is a highly competitive market, and navigating the industry here comes with its own set of challenges. But at EMPERIUM Studios, our focus isn’t on the obstacles; it’s on the opportunities that lie ahead. Rather than simply building up, we’re committed to building out—forming meaningful relationships with other passionate and hungry independent artists and creators within the community. We believe that collaboration and shared vision are key to scaling up in this new environment.

As we move forward, our priority remains the same: to create quality, fun, and relevant content that resonates with audiences. Whether through EMPERIUM Studios or Camp Campbell Entertainment, our goal is to continue pushing the boundaries of storytelling, embracing innovation, and amplifying diverse voices. We’re excited about the future and all the possibilities that come with it.

STAY TUNED

To all our followers, thank you for your unwavering support and commitment to our growth. You’ve been an essential part of our journey, and we’re deeply grateful for your continued belief in EMPERIUM and the content we create.

For our friends and supporters in Ohio, we want to assure you that our journey is far from over. While we’ve expanded to Los Angeles, our roots in Ohio remain strong. Our ultimate goal is to grow EMPERIUM big enough to return to Ohio and finish what we started. We envision a future where we can establish brick-and-mortar spaces that will inspire and support the next generation of creatives—those who, like us, dream of telling their stories and making an impact.

We want to create a platform and foundation in Ohio where aspiring filmmakers and creators don’t feel they need to move to a major city to succeed. Our dream is to bring opportunities, knowledge, and industry insights directly to the community that nurtured us. While we’re not sure yet if a studio will be part of that vision, it’s something we’re excited to explore. Our ambition is to be everywhere, reaching people across the globe, and Ohio will always be a significant part of that mission.
