Emperium Studios returns with a new original psychological thriller filmed in Columbus, Ohio.
The Story
Ava and the Boy She Loved explores the fragile line between memory and reality. At the heart of the story is Ava, a woman navigating grief, guilt, and love in ways that force her, and the audience, to question what’s real and what’s imagined.
Without revealing too much, the film centers on Ava’s unraveling journey through relationships past and present, as secrets, betrayals, and blurred truths rise to the surface. It’s a story about love, loss, and the haunting ways our minds try to protect us.

From the Director, Writer, Producer
“This project is deeply personal for us at Emperium Studios. We wanted to create a story that isn’t just about thrills or suspense, but about people, how grief reshapes us, how memory betrays us, and how love can haunt us long after it’s gone. Ava and the Boy She Loved is about the parts of ourselves we hide, and what happens when those hidden parts finally demand to be seen.” - Dom Campbell
